At Windmill Lodge, we place dedicated and exemplary care are at the forefront of what we do. The Lodge offers a range of high-quality facilities to support residents, providing convenience and comfort.
With a blend of stylish furnishing and accessible facilities, Windmill Lodge aims to encourage independence and choice, allowing residents to make the most out of each day.
The Lodge also offers a Day Centre for those requiring extra support and companionship but are not ready to move into full-time residential care.
Bedrooms
Spacious bedrooms are furnished with an adjustable profiling bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and flat-screen TV with a wireless internet connection and alert system to ensure communication to care staff is easily accessible. Each room comes complete with an en-suite wet room.
Lounges
Each of Windmill Lodge’s spacious lounges has been intelligently designed to help and guide residents around their new home independently. Colour has been used carefully to help individuals living with cognitive impairment manage spatial awareness while specially chosen fabrics and furnishings provide a homely atmosphere.
Hair & Beauty Salon
Residents can take advantage of the in-house Hair & Beauty Salon as and when they please. Windmill Lodge has a resident hairstylist who is available but we also welcome residents’ own stylists if preferred. Beauty treatments are also carried out and include manicures, pedicures and hand massages.
Cinema & Activities Room
Windmill Lodge boasts a stunning Cinema & Activities Room for residents to enjoy at their own pleasure. Television is a great way for residents to reminisce and encourages conversation, particularly when favourite films from the past are shown.
Dining
We understand the importance of mealtimes, so our dining rooms have been designed to ensure residents get the most out of their dining experience. Beautifully set tables matched with delicious home-cooked dishes make mealtimes an enjoyable experience. Activities, Outings & Wellbeing
We are proud of the Lodge’s purposeful and varied activity programme. It inspires communication, social interaction, movement and more. The Activities and Wellbeing Team also include organised excursions and trips to local places of interest within the programme as well as encouraging residents to continue with pastimes, sports and community groups they previously engaged in.
Gardens & Patios
With Windmill Lodge’s beautifully manicured gardens, residents are able to enjoy sitting out in the nice weather, take a relaxed stroll or even get their green fingers out with a spot of gardening. Some of the Lodge’s ground floor bedrooms open out onto private patios, perfect for giving residents privacy and extra space when families
Visiting
Residents’ family and friends are always welcome to the Lodge. It’s an essential way for residents to keep in touch with their loved ones and promotes mental wellbeing. Residents can take advantage of the private visitors’ car park before enjoying their visit in one of the Lodge’s many spacious lounges or residents’ own bedrooms. Residents
