Residential Care

Our Residential Care package is ideal for residents who have made the conscious choice to live within a care home community and would like the peace of mind of having support available if and when they need it.

Residents can benefit from having easy access to visiting external professionals, such as GPs and chiropodists, in the comfort of their new home.

Windmill Lodge’s trained care team have the passion to sit down and spend time with each resident getting to know everyone personally. From this, they are able to deliver a bespoke care package for all who reside at the Lodge.

Enriched Lifestyles

It’s important that residents enjoy and are able to make the most out of each day. Our team aims to motivate and encourage residents to take part in extra-curricular activities either within the Lodge or at clubs they previously attended.

A dedicated Activities and Wellbeing team provide a variety of daily activities, games and outings to make sure residents are engaged and fulfilled.

Jason’s Story

It’s our aim to deliver a fun, vibrant and engaging environment to all who live in an Athena lodge.

Why not hear about Jason’s experience, and how he came to live in his new home:

Respite Care

We offer respite care for residents requiring Residential Care Services for a temporary stay of up to 4-week, subject to assessment.

Whether you’re going on holiday, taking care of other commitments or your loved one needs extra help after illness or a hospital stay, we’re here to provide a smooth transition into care along with a safe, comfortable and homely environment. It is important that everyone takes time to recharge and rejuvenate every now and again for their own health and well-being. Respite care allows caregivers to do this whilst having peace of mind that their loved one is safe and being well cared for.

Respite care can provide a number of benefits for both carers and their loved ones as 24-hour support is provided to all those who come to our Lodges. With engaging activities each day, residents are able to benefit from compassionate care, fun-filled days and the opportunity to build relationships with new friends – much like a holiday of their own!

The Lodge caters to a variety of needs, creating a tailored care plan dependent on each individual’s needs and length of stay which can be up to 4 weeks. Residents staying at the Lodge for a short stay have full access to all the exceptional facilities, freshly cooked meals in our dining experience and regular visits with friends and family.

We understand that making the move into a care home is challenging, but respite care allows residents, their families and carers to trial living in a care setting before committing to permanent residency. It is often found that the transition into care is made easier once residents have already experienced life at the Lodge including the care practices, facilities and fellow residents. We are able to facilitate respite to permanent stays as well as multiple or regular respite stays if required.
