Exciting News: The Nolan Day Care Centre is now open!

We are thrilled to announce that our newest service, the Nolan Day Centre is now open! The Day Centre will be providing high-quality care and a safe, warm environment for people with early-onset dementia aged 65 and over.

Where to find us

The Day Centre is situated at the front of Windmill Lodge, which consists of a large lounge area, activity/dining room, kitchen, and toilet facilities. There is easy access from the front car park area.

How it works

The Day Centre will complete its own assessment of needs, this allows us to actively seek out the interests and hobbies of the individual. Therefore, this makes the sessions joyful, meaningful, and above all, person-centred.

The Day Centre staff will also need to know about any dietary, mobility, and medication prior to attendance.

Once an individual is accepted to the Day Centre, you can easily access the secure online booking system. Where sessions can be booked securely with a payment card.

For anyone interested in joining the Day Centre, you can fill out the enquiry form. Then one of our members of staff will be in touch with more information.

Difference between full and half day

Full-day (8:30am – 4:30pm): includes the option of a continental breakfast, a hot meal at lunchtime, snacks and refreshments throughout the day.

Half-day Morning Session (8:30am – 12:30pm): includes a continental breakfast, refreshments and light snacks.

Half-day Afternoon Session (12:30pm – 4:30pm): includes lunch and afternoon refreshments.

Activities in store

There will be a varied calendar of events that will include seasonal activities throughout the year as well as weekly activities.

This is offering the opportunity for our clients to participate in a selection of board games, brain teasers, and practical activities! Such as having the opportunity to bake in the day centre kitchen, use arts and crafts or enjoy a session of light exercise! The list is endless… but will reflect everyone’s identified needs and interests.

Each session attended, will be evaluated to ensure that individuals are happy and content with their chosen activity and are stimulated throughout the day.

Facilities we offer

The Day Centre has music facilities and televisions that will enhance the entertainment on offer, such as sessions including singing. The Day Centre wants to create relationships within the local community by inviting relevant organisations associated with dementia care and support. This allows them to offer practical solutions and guidance, offer advice and signpost family and relatives to other vital services when needed.

Useful Information

The Nolan Day Care Centre is open 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday – Friday. We are offering an introductory offer of  £39.50 for a full-day or £27.50 for a half-day session.
